Several years of water penetration and an improper interior
humidity control system resulted with the congregation of this
century old Church facing a major restoration of the sanctuary. The RESTORERS Group Inc. was engaged to manage the restoration plan developed by the Architect. Following fifteen months without the use of the sanctuary, the congregation was presented with a restored space based on the original aesthetics of the late 19th century. The restoration plan involved consolidation of the existing century old plaster ceiling complemented with reinforcement of structural supports and re-establishing the original ventilation design of the Church. The sanctuary was completed with a paint coating displaying a colour scheme which echoes the 1890's The RESTORERS Group Inc. is continuing to work with St. Paul's on the long term effort of stone and brick restoration. |
